Winter Retreat 2011

Winter Retreat at Universal 2010

We are excited about this year’s Youth Winter Retreat because we are combining mission work in South Georgia with bringing in the New Year at Walt Disney World and Epcot!! What a great  way to start off our new year together as a youth community by serving side-by-side and watching fireworks at Walt Disney World.

Our road trip begins on Wednesday, December 28th, when we head to St. Simmons and stay for 2 nights at the South Georgia Methodist Center, Epworth By The Sea. We will serve in the Savannah and St. Simmons areas for 2 1/2 days before traveling to Orlando for 3 nights and lodging at Hawthorne Suites in Lake Buena Vista. On New Year’s Eve, we will arrive to Walt Disney early in the morning and spend all day enjoying the park before the midnight fireworks celebration. After a short nights rest, we will spend New Year’s day at Epcot. We will return home on Monday, January 2nd. What a wonderful week!!

We will be driving the 4 church vans and can take 52 youth. The cost is $425.00. Please support this year’s Tree Lot by selling trees and buying a tree because the Tree Lot proceeds help supplement the cost of all of our retreats.

Payment in full is due upon registration. All registration is required by clicking on the “register now” button below. Once registered, payment is non-refundable. Payments can be submitted in 2 ways: credit card on-line or check made payable to OGUMC and tag “Youth Winter Retreat”. Partial scholarships are available. Please contact Robyn Giles or Robin Merrill to discuss scholarship options.

The Youth Winter Retreat makes a great Christmas present “memory” that grandparents and relatives may want to give or contribute to.

Registration is open until Friday, November 11th or until we have 52 youth signed up. You will need unique email addresses for registering more than one youth.

Please contact Robyn Giles if you have any questions or need help with registration.
